Everybody back in shape. We even survived the birthday party for the twins (was a really nice party and we all had loads of fun). Hubby is normally in bed by 22:00 (like me), but was for once out with friends and only came home after the whole throwing up (kids) had come and gone. He was quite surprised when he came home in the middle of the night that I had all the lights on, door to the basement open etc. When it was my turn to be sick later on, he did ask from teh bed if I was ok  If he would have been home earlier, he could have helped wash all the vomit of the sheets and the carpet, but the lucky sod was out!

Katreske - well timed by your hubby, very clever
Last time I was sick Hubby didn't hear a thing. I could die in the loo and in the morning he would probably wonder what the lump was he had to climb over to get to the shower…

@mrs.bee: i'm fine thanks. Just getting out of breath quickly and aching allover if I try doing to much  I just want to do too much all the time and it's got to fit in between taling and collecting boy.

Has anyone heard from Tiramisu recently?

Hahaha Mrs. Bee! Just let your little one watch a lot of things with scottish accents and he'll talk like Sean Connery very soon :D Much better than a Welsh accent.
By the way, there seem to be some Welsh series on lately on BBC Entertainment. Strange accent, but nice names!
My girls have loads of dvd's in Dutch and often the voices have a real Dutch accent (Holländisch) and not a Belgian accent (Flämisch). The language is the same in Belgium and Holland, but the accent is different of course. Luckily, the girls have never developed a Dutch accent or I would go and kill myself!

Just about to run up to Kindergarten again.
@Dialects: our boy can do an American accent, when he plays with his Lego figures, thanks to Winnie the Pooh
@expat exhibition: Bern is a long way off from us. And hubby is more desperate to get the proper experience again, i.e. travel to England, but there's little chance this year

Hello Eva-Christina, how is it to live in Prague? Is it much colder there (it is not exactly warm at the moment in Switzerland)

Veeery quiet here once again. Just thought I'd leave a quick hello. We're doing fine. Boy is on holiday from kindergarten, so I have to organise the entertainment for him  he's been ok so far, but I can tell, he's used to more than I can usually offer him. Bump is starting to get in the way a bit.

Still here! Just been busy chasing little man. He's now becoming more and more independent and cheekier by the minute. It's fun but at times exhausting...

Eva: good to hear things are working out for you - keep us posted

Katreske: How's it going with the new house? Garden ready for winter?

Kara: glad to hear you're fine. I can't imagine being pregnant with a lively 5 year old... puh!

Just wait till he's at kindergarten....it's not getting any better. Yesterday boy was bored so he was close to unbearable. Luckily, today he met a little friend from kindergarten in the playground and he really liked that. Playing tired him out and he was in bed reasonably early.... And I can finally have a sit down.

Woah, Kindergarten luckily is still ages away... I really don't know yet how we will manage this. Especially with me working approx. 20 minutes from where we live, so more organisation skills will be needen. Super...

So much nicer if they're worn out from a good romp, no? Is the second pregnancy different from the first? I slept an awful lot while pregnant, so I can't imagine how to manage if you have to care for a kid already.

Hello ladies,

may I join the discussion?

I am married to a Swiss-Irish our family language is English. Looking forward to some chit-chat ;)

If you've got questions, feel free to ask!

I am lucky, my 2 little ones are sleeping at the moment, a bit of peace for mommy ;)
you were asking what it't like to be pregnant with no. 2, ms. bee: it's definitely harder than the first time...less time to relax etc. but it is well worth it. Also, pregnancy becomes somewhat of a "side-effect"...not everything is about the pregnancy and somehow, time seems to go by quicker... (apart from the last 4-ish weeks...they still feel long as hell  :P   )

Hi ladies and welcome sarleas7 (how do you pronounce that? Lots of Irish names look totally unpronouncable, but are quite normal once you hear them).
It's been indeed quiet here lately. We have not been doing a lot in the house lately. Hubby is not the kind to "get a move on" for certain things. Since the girls have 3 weeks of school holidays, we went to my parents in Belgium for 2 weeks. The weather was as bad as here, but we had a great time. We even went to an amusement park in the south of the Netherlands as well and that was really THE thing of the century. For all of you with young children going to Holland on holiday, I can definitly recommend The Efteling. A beautiful magical amusement park!
Next monday my 3 little monsters go back to Kindergarten so I'm looking forward to some more quiet moments ;-)
